Meeting 3

On June 25th and 26th, the partners of the EURO4VET consortium were in Mataró, Spain, for their third meeting, which was held at Escola Pia’s (one of the partners) facilities.

During this time, partners’ representatives, coming from Belgium, Finland, North Macedonia, Portugal, Spain and Türkiye, evaluated in detail the results achieved so far, namely the teacher training course on EU issues, held at Polytechnic Institute of Leiria's School of Education and Social Sciences - ESECS (another partner), and the student training course on the same subject, which was recently implemented in the five partner VET schools, as well as all its supporting materials and documents.

The two main non-formal education activities were also discussed, the annual Europe Day celebrations – focusing on this year’s edition - and the ‘3 minutes of Europe’ podcasts, available in six languages (English, Finnish, North Macedonian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish) on Spotify.

In addition to these topics, the project's framework components, such as Quality and Communication, also received special attention.

For the next school year, the Virtual EU Skills Competition has been planned, both the national phase, which will determine the two winners from each school, and the international phase, in which all the winners will compete for a visit to Brussels to learn more about the different EU bodies. Organised by ESECS, they will take place from September to December, with the trip to the EU headquarters taking place in February 2026. Attendance at the Annual Conference of EfVET, the Belgian partner, which will occur in Fátima in October, was also prepared.
