9th May
The goal of this activity is to get the students acquainted with 9 th of May, the day when the European Union is celebrated.
For this purpose, the students should be encompassed in an activity which will let them explore the EU, its policies and values.
For the 9 th of May 2024 the students from the partner organization SABA, made posters related to the celebration of the Day of Europe, for the partner organizations from Portugal, Spain, Finland, Turkey and Macedonia.
These posters will have to represent each country and the European Union.
Having in mind that the EU elections will take place from 6-9 of June 2024, the partner countries which are member states of the EU will reflect their posters to these elections.
The partner countries which are not EU member states will focus on the 9 th of May, exclusively.
Story
Through this activity, the students will have to deepen their knowledge about the European Union, the celebration of it and the EU elections. While making the posters, the students will get to know the partner countries, their symbols such as flags, and will learn about what 9 th of May is. This activity is divided into two parts – 9 th of May and 6-8 June 2024 EU elections, so the students will learn more about the two events happening this year.
