Days of Europe
9th May 2026
The aim of the activity is to introduce students to May 9, the day on which the European Union is celebrated, as well as to familiarize them with the EU institutions. With this in mind, the 2026 “Europe Day” celebration was organized to represent the EU institutions. Thus, students who visited the EU institutions in each country (each partner school) formed their own teams of five students. These teams represented four different EU institutions: the Council of the EU, the European Council, the European Parliament, and the European Commission. Each group represented an EU institution, where they gave a brief presentation on the role and scope of work of the institutions. The guests also gave presentations using posters. These groups were in different classrooms, each representing an EU institution. The remaining students from the schools (who were not part of the teams) toured the “EU institutions” to familiarize themselves with them and their scope of work. Thus, the students who visited Brussels had the opportunity to share what they learned and experienced in Brussels with the rest of the students.
